Cathy’s Cafe is a mission-driven social enterprise in Vancouver’s Kerrisdale neighbourhood, operated by the Blessed Abilities Society. We are a welcoming community cafe where great food, meaningful employment, and inclusion come together.

At Cathy’s Cafe, inclusion isn’t a separate program—it is part of how our cafe operates every day. People with developmental disabilities work alongside our team in meaningful roles throughout the cafe, building practical skills, confidence, independence, and genuine connections with coworkers and customers.

We believe everyone has abilities worth recognizing and opportunities worth creating. By adapting training to each person’s strengths, goals, and learning needs, we create a workplace where people can contribute in ways that are meaningful to them.

Every breakfast shared, coffee enjoyed, and visit to Cathy’s Cafe helps support a more inclusive community—one where people of all abilities have the opportunity to learn, work, contribute, and belong.
